PRIVATE TALK...

OKAY!!

I need everyone's help with something...

It could be a touchy subject, we'll see..

I need to know what everyone refers to their children's private parts as??

Also, is what you call them at home, what you call them in public? Is what you call them at home what the kids would call them at school??

I'm struggling! I'm starting to think that what we call it in this house isn't appropriate??
Yikes..

I didn't worry about it until my mom put it into my head,, that it might not be the "right" word..

I'll explain more, once I get all of your responses....

So please, HELP!!!!

Do I call it by the book? Can i have a "name" for it? What do I do???!!!

AHHH!!!!

I'd like to hear opinions on both boys and girl's "PARTS".... Please!!

....And Thank you...

We call my son's parts his Wee Wee, but he knows that it's technically called a penis. For my daughter, we started calling her part a Hoo Hoo (the jokey name I've referred it as for years and years), but she has taken to calling it her Wee Wee too. I think when my son got a little older (like 3ish?) we started interchanging nickname and clinical name, because it's what our pediatrician called it.

We always called them "girl parts" and "boy parts".

We call them the private parts, because that is what they should be private. In the daycare, the girls also say private parts and chest, but on women they are breast. Our school is strick about terms, you aren't even allowed to say butt, it is bum. I like it that way, less demeaning terms that way.

We haven't had to deal with this much yet. I think we'll go with private parts.

LOL, I should have added that my daughter is almost 14. The term "girl parts" has been changed to "high security area" - no one needs to go near there!!

when it comes to keeping it clean, we call my daughters parts "pee pee". when it comes to flashing said parts all over town, it becomes a "hoo-ha". as in "you better be wearing panties....i don't want you flashing your hoo-ha everywhere"

my son has a pee-pee as well. we are not creative AT ALL. it jut sort of happened and it was the natural thing to call their parts.

I think it's healthy to know both the clinical name and have their own name. Keags calls his his "peter" ,but has also referred to it as his penis. Shae has always called hers by the clinical name her vulva. The one thing with Shae is that most people (even women) don't know that's what it's really called so even if she shouts it heads don't spin. There really isn't anything wrong with having names for our "parts".

How come no one just calls 'em what they are? We call all parts by their proper name almost always. We are teaching our girls to call them their private parts when speaking to their grandparents or whoever. We wanted our girls to be able to verbalize about their bodies.
