Hubby love

This is going to be a quick post,, but it's a good one..

I had a "moment" with my husband on the weekend.

I actually looked at him and said:
"THAT RIGHT THERE IS BLOG CONTENT FOR NEXT WEEK!"

I went away for the day on Saturday. (I will do a post on its own about that.)
I was gone from 8am until about 10pm. Peter had the girls all to himself the whole day.
He did a great job.

When I got up on Sunday morning, I went to put something in the dishwasher.
When I opened it, the smell that came from it, was literally gross enough to make me gag..
I'm sure you all know the smell. Things had obviously been sitting in there too long without being washed. It was ROTTEN!!

I let out a big "UGGGHH" and closed the door quickly..

Peter looked over at me and said.... are you ready for it??...........

"Yeah, I was going to run that yesterday, but I don't know how!"

***Hand hits forehead!!***

Are you kidding me? We've lived in this house for 3 years and he doesn't know how to run the dishwasher? This is a man who can fix ANYTHING! This is a man who rebuilds motorcycles and builds houses for a living! A man who can wire electricity to a basement, drywall a basement, complete the plumbing in a basement.

But he CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO RUN A DISHWASHER??!!!!!
 WOW!!!

That's all! That's all I wanted to share today...
Would love to hear some of your "proud" hubby moments!
XO

That. Is. Awesome.
It reminds me when john tells me I should order the pizza because I'm "better at it." I will be sure to list that on my list of skills "Excellence in pizza-ordering."

It's just their way of saying they were lazy, hoping we won't figure it out. My husband knows if he leaves something of his out long enough and I'll put it away because I'm sick of seeing it. I guess he's got me trained! :(

I'm not allowed to touch our dishwasher. Hubby is the only one who knows how to load it properly. It's his thing.

such a burden, I know ;)

We have a cat who requires medicine every night. She is spoiled and gets a little dish of canned food that has been slightly warmed in the microwave (it gets covered & stored in the fridge - who likes cold food?)

The girl & I were gone one evening, leaving hubby to medicate said cat. We came home hours later & the house reeked of burnt cat food so badly we had to open windows. When I asked him how long he microwaved the food, he said 2 1/2 minutes. ~faint~ It only takes 11 seconds!!!

My husband was 30 when we got married meaning that he had been living on his own for quite sometime and managed just fine. We got married, moved in together and somehow he has forgotten how to do laundry, cooking and cleaning. Funny how that works.
